CHOMPIN' CHEDDARY BISCUITS
Ingredients:
1 cup of self raising flour
1 cup of wholewheat flour
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (you can substitute with any other cheese)
2 tablespoons of butter
¾ cup of milk
Grated parmesan cheese for the topping (optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C or Gas mark 5)
Mix the self-raising and wholewheat flours together with the cheese until thoroughly blended.
Add the butter and the milk to the mixture.
Turn the mixture out onto a floured surface and roll out to approximately half an inch thickness (thinner if preferred).
Gently prod the dough with a fork all over and then sprinkle with the parmesan cheese if using.
Cut the dough into your desired shapes either with a cookie cutter or by hand.
Place the shapes onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Leave to cool before giving to your dog.
These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container and placed in the fridge.
